So, after my downer post (and the second downer post which I canned because, hey, there's only so much whingeing I can expect anyone to take) comes the upswing.
I'm still broken, seeing a specialist on Tuesday. I'm using my hand way more than I really should be, but if I rest it up properly i'll end up gnawing the damn thing off in frustration anyway, so this is safer. It hurts most of the time, but nothing unbearable. Did a little weight training with the other arm at training last night (I'm so dedicated I went along anyway) which was good. Now on school holidays, so I'm going to toddle down to the gym and do lots of cardio on the *cough* exercise bike (I hate those things), just to keep the momentum going. I refuse to sit around on my arse because of one little piddly hand bone, oh no!
The end of term has brought with it a couple of shared lunches, so I've had an unfortunate confluence of no exercise, feeling a bit down and lots of available cake. Bugger. Still, the cake has now gone, the holidays are on, and the bout is tomorrow, so we're done with the down. (I'll be wearing my bout hotpants regardless tomorrow night, and the monthly pics will hopefully happen)
So yeah, sorting stuff out, still a crip but managing better with it. Just want to get back on the Green Wheels o' Pain!
